Feb 2 to March 21st = 6weeks!! So whatever the prediction, we have 6weeks of Winter, one way or another!!! 🙂

I remember when Ruth made a double layer cake and iced it in white. Perched on top was a gingerbread groundhog cookie. When the time was declared, she spread chocolate syrup around him to create a shadow …. or not. I still have my groundhog cookie cutter Ruth – do you?
I remember the groundhog song I used to sing to the kids at school. We have a groundhog living in our backyard – I did look for him this morning. He didn’t show up.
Happy Groundhog Day to you, Ruthie! Watching the news…. boy, all that snow is awful and the wind looked as bad as we had it in Iceland. I feel guilty about sitting here barefoot and in short sleeves. I hope you are keeping warm and someone strong is shoveling you out!
March 20 is the first day of Spring….so hopefully you’ll have some warmer weather on the way.
PS: I know some calendars say the 21st………but since I was born on the first day of Spring…I’m going with the 20th!!! Miss you!
