From the archives. Jim’s Steaks in Philly. Tastykakes. Behind glass. Mary wrote about Drake’s, Hostess, and there’s Little Debbie brands from different regions. Each one has a snack cake specialty - Ring Dings, Ho- Hos or Twinkies or Oatmeal Creme Pies!
There was a commercial, Tastykake Cake and Pies.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tastycakes! We can’t get them down here! I was so happy when I got into Pennsylvania on my hike and could buy Tastycakes! For the whole rest of my hike I had Tastycakes every day – my mom would mail them to me (along with other food, too.) My favorites are the peanut butter Kandy-Kakes. The butterscotch Krimpets are pretty yummy too!
