Woodcarver at Work in Croatia

People at Work series
I wonder what this job would be like? I wish I had purchased a wood carving but the one on display was so large. This is from a summer visit to Croatia. As I remember this village was in Istria but I can’t remember which one it was.

No one nagging me, working at my own pace, if I had the talent I wouldn’t mind a job like that.

It’s great to be able to work at something you love for many years. Is that bolts of fabric in the background?

I love to watch people, like woodcarvers and weavers, working with their hands. That wood carving is gorgeous!

Croatia has quite a few incredibly skilled crafts people. (I remember the lace maker – she was in Croatia too, non?)
