Weekly Photo Challenge: Ready
WordPress posted the WPC this afternoon and here is an iPhone photo of the dining room table ready for guests to eat dinner. A tad grainy, soft focus, and dark and yet inviting to me and a good illustration of the weekly photo challenge: ready.

Yes, ready for dinner! Great entry Ruth

Hey Ruth, just browsing through at the end of the day, dishwasher humming away and I find this – so warm, inviting and ready to share generous hospitality. Am sure it was a wonderful evening for you all!

Great entry for the challenge, Ruth! Those plates look interesting. I wonder the subject matter and how many individual illustrations there were to the set. They sure give the table a nice look.

The Naïf pattern from Villeroy and Boch. My kids used to all want the fireplace and grandma in the rocking chair plate. No one wanted the turkey in a cart on the way to market. The salad and bread and butter are different scenes too. It is always a conversation starter when I set the table with these. Bought them in Germany about 26 years ago. They are pricey now.

I love your spin on “Ready”.. perfect for food bloggers like us! Isn’t it neat how kids love a certain special plate when they eat… so many great memories today, Ruth. My kids loved a little plate that had compartments with pictures inside.. I think it was Elmo and Tomas the Train.. but can’t be certain. I’ll have to ask them, when they wake up… which will be around noon some time;) xo Smidge

This is a perfect submission for the challenge. I think it’s great. the low lighting gives
it a feel of warmth. Your IPhone did a fine job.
