Distant View Through a Chain Link Fence- Close, Closer and Closest
Drove by and it was a blur through the chain link fence.
(Don’t worry, Steve was driving. I was the passenger.)
What do you think these are?
Guess no one flew South. Read that the Canada Goose is now a year round creature of urban environments. And the plural is Canada Geese- not Canadian Geese. You probably already knew that, Mary Lynn!

Perfectly at home in snow.

Geese? Maybe the flew over from the North Shore or Highland Park. Where did you find these? Great photos.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

“Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat, Please to put a penny in the old man’s hat ” Is that why you are vegetarian, Laura? “Geese are so gross”
Neat series of pics. Ruth!

Great set of photos, Ruth. It looks like these geese are as big a problem in your neck of the woods as they are in these parts.

Wonderful photos Ruth! I learned something new today.
Per the Wikipedia article: The Giant Canada Goose was thought to be extinct in the 1950s. With preservation programs, their populations have recovered. In some areas, the populations of Canada Geese have increased so much that they are considered pests.

I heard they no longer migrate, but I thought that was the ones already in more southern climes. Although, I guess compared to Canada, PA is the South.

I’ve taken some similar shots lately of Canada Geese in the field. They are rather amazing!
