A hint, allusion, to something about to happen. Foreshadow. Sounds ominous. Doesn’t have to be.
I remember studying foreshadowing in high school English class. A tough challenge to “nail” this week.

your foreshadow collection a delight…especially love the hummingbird ones. hard to get them to stay stationary but you managed. 🙂
That’s not fair. How does one choose his/her favorite when you put the beautiful hummingbird pictures with your beautiful grandchildren pictures. Happy Birthday to Laura.
Love the looking at me humming bird!
I too like the humming bird photos. My gosh it’s lunch time and I’m getting hungry and seeing all that food is making me even hungrier . The one photo that really caught my eye was the boy eating his cake. Now that is the way to do it.
What a brilliant, beautiful selection. I love that shot of Michael, waiting so patiently in front of all that delicious food!
I love Jack’s cake photo! Foreshadowing *is* a tough concept to capture visually..
Great captures and interpretation of the challenge, Ruth. Zia has a few hummingbird feeders, one on the window next to her dining table. I cannot tell you how many hours we’ve sat at that table talking while we watched the hummingbirds come and go.
The hummingbird shots are exquisite, Ruth 🙂
And you always do family so well.

Hung a hummingbird feeder last week – haven’t seen any hummingbirds here yet, but still hoping.
