Uncle Matty Sings the Christmas Blues

Everyone is happy that Matthew is visiting from Zagreb.  He’s either playing the guitar or the piano, telling big brother-little brother stories to his nephews as they fall off to sleep or trying to beat Mark’s Father-in-Law Donald at 360XBox College Football. He helps wash the dishes and keeps us laughing and entertained.

Here are some Matthew moments for the blog followers in Croatia, wondering why he isn’t on the blog!

I hope to get a photo with him before he leaves.  We’ll see.  It feels good to have everyone together, even for a short time.

And Matthew wasn’t keen on being the main feature of the blog.  So here is one more photo of the grandchildren on Christmas Eve to share the post.

So great to have all the kids together! Warms a mom’s heart! Grateful for Skype but an actual hug is all the better!

  6. I think Uncle Matty should be the feature for sure – he looks like a fantastically fun fellow! And a good natured chap to boot.

I will say, when I saw the second photo, my eye was immediately drawn to the hat; and when I read that it was handmade, I smiled. Lovely. :)

Wish Jonathan and I could have been there to join in the fun!! Yes, he’s home for Christmas from Ft. Sill until Monday. He’s to report to Korea on March 12 so will be home in February until he has to travel far, far away!! Ruth, you always set such a fine example for all of us friends and family in your life! Happy New Year!
