What We Share

An enjoyment of baked goods. I didn’t eat any of these but I am sure we would have had fun together if we did.

flower cakes

Cake flowers from NYC shot last Spring

The enjoyment of flowers (although you’re a good gardener, I like to look at them)

flowers for marlene

Real flowers and bird eggs

We are fortunate to share the love of grandchildren.  That’s the best thing to share.  Shared love and laughter.

Have a wonderful birthday, Marlene!

Happy Birthday Marlene.

(And you share a birthdate with my mother Marian VanSickle Hendricks born 1912)

Vicci and Ben Pose with a Wedding Cookie

A beautiful and exciting day.

You’ve seen the posts this week leading up to the Wedding Cookie Tables. The baking. The cousins and aunts.  The kitchens and ingredients.

And the cookie table was overflowing with homemade cookies.  You should have seen the flock to take samples home in containers.

I asked Vicci and Ben if they would hold one of the cookies with their names and they were gracious and agreed.

Ben and Vicci

Congratulations Ben and Vicci    It was a fun wedding and everyone had a great time.

And the cookies were delicious.

Backlit Bridal Party in Baseball Dugout

Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA.  A relaxed bridal party shot on campus, Saturday’s wedding.  Both bride and groom are alumni, as are some of the attendants, too.  The groom played baseball and football and the bride a serious runner (just signed on to run the Boston Marathon again, oh my)

Bright sun, green mountains and blue sky. A happy couple.  A perfect day.   Wishing them every happiness, always!
