Weekly Photo Challenge: Regret

Regret one has to clean up the results of the cold glass jar from the garage placed onto the room temperature countertop.

No photographs of the things I regret having done, or things I haven’t done that I wish I had….the regret of not sending the birthday card in time, not calling on the phone in time, not leaving early enough in the day to be there to say good bye. The disappointment and sorrow of the human kind not in the archives.  A true challenge to come up with a response to the challenge.

Fellow bloggers responses to the weekly photo challenge entries are here

Thought this a creative response -you can hear Edith Piaf sing No Regrets on this fellow bloggers WPC: Regret

And Flat Ruthie is 90 miles from Cuba in the Florida Keys if you want to check her out here

  1. There are regrets in the moment—this photo a perfect illustration—Not a global crisis, nor an impact on life as we know it. But has immediate effect—an OMG moment. I’ll look forward to seeing further photos on the context. Thanks as always. Lois

  5. That looks like a hot mess. That regret is easier to take care of than the regrets of the heart, though. I hope next week’s photo challenge is compassion and forgiveness – as in, we all can aim to apply them to our personal regrets.

    • Cee Your comments were in my SPAM! I went and looked and marked them NOT SPAM and then approved them from the pending but why is going on? Thanks for making a comment on the WPC. It was a hard one.
Hope your comment situation gets straightened out soon for you.

  7. Who among us hasn’t had a smilar mishap? Great photo for the challenge, Ruth. (And just a wee bit funny, too.)

  8. Makes me start singing the Frank Sinatra song – My Way. “Regrets, I’ve had a few — but then again, too few to mention.”

  16. I agree, the actual moments of regret are usually not those caught on camera. Especially if it is a matter of regretting that your camera is not with you!

The song “no regrets” is great – because it speaks of living without regret as a choice. How cool is that. Forgive others where it counts, and above all forgive yourself – and move on. What a liberating way to live!

But having said that, this applesauce click is great! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
