How to Revive a Slice of Cake

Place in a bowl and pour some cool fresh milk over it. Eat with a silver spoon. My father used to do this and I'd turn my nose up. Boy, was I wrong about this practice! Delicious

  1. i agree completely, not that i often have cake to revive, but cake and milk is yummy! lovely photo, the delicate cake and the blue and white plate go beautifully 🙂

  2. love the idea of croutons and the heimlich maneuver 🙂 Now I’ve got to locate cake that needs reviving! Still thinking about your Vermeer photo earlier this week! XOXOX

  3. Yummy photo! I used to turn my nose up when my grandparents did this, but I’ll have to try it now. I’ve been to birthday parties where the ice cream and cake were served on the same plate. A few times the ice cream melted quite a bit and the cake was soaking it up. It tasted pretty good!
