Weekly Photo Challenge: Change of Seasons

Friday night in Laura and James’ living room, I was telling them what the weekly photo challenge was.

Laura said, “I have pumpkins on the front porch and Christmas decorations in a box.” So I went out onto the front porch but when I saw the neighbor’s Christmas lights and a mini-bus drove by, I knew I had the shot for the Change of Seasons challenge.

Change of Seasons. And the temperature is 50 degrees making it feel like a Spring evening.

  2. Totally relate to this post! As of yesterday morning we had a geranium (still blooming from summer believe it or not), a Mum in the planter (plus 2 others on the porch), some left over gourds, and a wreath by the door. We had 3 seasons going on there! So we went to Chapon’s Nursery, bought some greens, our tree, etc. Brought up the lights from the basement. It was rainy, but warm. We will finish decorating today and get fully into the Christmas season. The red blooms on the geranium fit well. Will have to put it away soon, though. By the way, love your photo!!

  4. I love the picture. I think that Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas and Chanukah make up the “holiday season”.

  8. That is a really terrific shot! The blur of the lights of the mini-bus is outstanding! And it captures the feeling of the “Change of Seasons” for the Weekly Photo Challenge. Excellent!
