Looks like a restaurant sign to me. It sometimes makes me sad to see empty places like that.
There must be more to tearing down signs than I am aware of. Near Zia’s in Michigan, a popular restaurant was torn down some 10 years ago. It’s roadside sign, however, is still there and just as empty as the one you photographed. This, by the way, is why you’re a photographer and I take pictures. I’ve driven by that sign countless times and never once thought to photograph it.

Very strange – and yet oddly compelling at the same time. When I first saw it, I thought it kind of looked like the outline of a cat’s head; but I think Batman is more plausible. 🙂
