Thirty four years ago, when the kids were little, I made little books with photos and words……..

Here are the Adventures of Matthew highlights.

No thought of acid-free paper or archival pigment ink when I created this.

I covered two pieces of cardboard with fabric, ironed some of that paper that was coated and would bond when it got really hot and zig-zag stitched the pages on the sewing machine.

The end papers were marbled on this one.

I entered this photo to try to win something from Cheerios but I forget what it was.

  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW. Ruthie I love all the photos especially you and the one of Matthew with your Mom and Dad. Cherished memories

    • Thank you for your lovely compliment- Seems many of our pictures reside in hard drives and phones instead of yellowing albums or in a scrapbook.

  2. A wonderful trip down memory lane. The Cherrio’s photo is my favorite.
    Happy birthday to you, Matthew.

  3. It doesn’t take them long to grow up, does it? Here’s to the first of many, many more Happy Birthdays for young Mr. Matthew. 🙂

  4. How clever you were and are. What treasures. I see Matthew got the travel bug early in life.

  5. Happy birthday, dear Matthew, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! What a special “memory lane” this blog is!!!!! Wishes going all the way thru the cold air to Croatia!!! Lovelovelove Erica

  6. Brings back memories of trying to keep up with the baby books for each of my kids. Your notes and photos are wonderful.

  7. What a wonderful collection, Ruth! I’ve few photos of my childhood and view these with a bit of envy. It’s a fantastic way to document your family’s history.

Thanks for your visit. It's always good to hear you stopped by.
