So pretty! I agree – the first photo is outstanding. The path with the wildflowers and the mountains in the background is beautiful, too. So many nice pictures! Thanks for sharing!
My friend who lives in Homer replied “Salt water bay. Yes. Residents live there Year around”. I remembered seeing the piles of wood but wasn’t sure. Thanks for your visit Gilly.

It looks so crisp – beautiful skies. I suspect the temperature supported a very long walk. We are enjoying this vicariously – thanks.
Yes it’s just lovely
These are stunningly beautiful photos of a stunningly beautiful landscape.
Yes it’s beautiful landscape for sure
Very Beautuful Blog 👍
Ooh nice, I love the lake shot. Do people live that close to the water in winter?

I literally cannot fathom living there. What does one do for an occupation? How does a person buy supplies? *Where* does a person buy supplies??
You get on a ferry once a week or your own boat or shoot a moose or fish. Chop wood to keep warm.
Wow – what a way to live.
Such a lovely place to call home but I cannot help but wonder what it must look like in about 3 months.
I’d never make it there. Remote and wild. Magnificent scenery at every angle.
