Another form of recycling! My friend in Fort Walton Beach, FL has furnished 50% of her second home with cast offs from the drive to and from her daughter’s school.
That sure beats my way of getting rid of an old sofa. The last time I did, it was a sofa-bed that weighted a ton. I wasn’t about to lug it down 3 flights of stairs, so, a friend and i chucked it off the balcony. It was so much easier carrying the pieces to the alley. 😀
It looks like it still has some life in it. In days gone by a sofa would have been kept for decades!
Disposable culture. I still have my parents’ couch in my living room.
