Those are beautiful pictures. I am especially interested in suicide hill.
Horses run a race down it into the river during Omak days.
I just saw a video of that on You Tube!
I saw the race in person in 2008. Oh my!

Animal rights protesters worry horses will be injured in this steep run.
It probably is dangerous for both horse and rider, but so is driving a car on the freeway. I am all for ensuring that rules are adhered to in order to ensure that no unnecessary risks are taken, but accidents do happen.

I remember being surprised to learn that eastern Washington is as dry as it is, knowing how lush the east coast is. Still a beautiful part of the country, though.
I would have missed the kayakers in the first image if you hadn’t mentioned them!
