Today I received a skein of sock yarn in the mail from my friend Joanne. The name of the colorway is beach glass. She sent a little bag of smooth beach glass, too. Here’s the photo I took of the yarn
Here are the photos Joanne emailed to me today.
“Here are a few photos from Lunenburg – such a lovely little town.
The Mariner’s Daughter is the yarn store.
A few street scenes.
Our lunch – mussels with garlic and cream; and a lobster roll.”The Mariner’s Daughter
Any thoughts on what you are going to make with the yarn Ruth? I love the colour.
Since it’s sock yarn, I’m going with pretty socks Colline.
Lovely colorful homes. The yarn fits right in.
Joanne has quite a knack for composition! Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing.
A very pleasant color! When you look at your feet, you will think of the sea – – and Joanne!
What a great name for a color and the yarn certainly is reminiscent of the glass. Love this little town but, if I’m honest, my mind got kinda foggy when I saw those mussels and lobster roll. Now I’m hungry! 🙂
These photos are amazing. You have great friends.
Gorgeous photos! Looks like an inviting place!
I spent a day here in July- same beautiful blue sky- good view of the Bluenose and other ships. The locals welcomed the tourists and asked many questions about our hometowns.
