*Plan for the New Year 2017– contact friends you haven’t seen in awhile and make time to get together
I met two friends/former colleagues from Greenfield School Tuesday evening.
The first photo is my view as I waited for them to park after battling rush hour.
Forrest was our attentive and knowledgeable waiter who guided us in our selections.
Piccolo Forno in Lawrenceville
The appetizers and the BYOB bottle of dry red wine that Lara and Joz brought to share
Cappuccino Gelato Panna Cotta and a wild brownie with Cayenne Pepper in it- zing!
Thanks Joz for taking our photo with the nice young man Jeffrey who brought out the Greenfield Shirt I’d left on my chair in the restaurant.
Turns out the he was our former student at Greenfield School in 1997
(cool that he could still recognize us)
I taught him art and Ms Evans was his third grade teacher.
The food looks great, especially the ravioli! So much fun to run into a former student! You guys are looking good!!
You know it Toni. You have to try that place. xxoo
What a great reunion Ruth and such a bonus with the former student at the end. Food looks great. I had no idea you could byob; in TO, restaurants need a special license and equipment (to recork unfinished bottles, who does that????) And they usually charge $15-30 corkage fees!
Just a modest $5 corkage fee. It was such a fun time. We drank it all, the three of us. Always good to have you visit and nice of you to write, Eva.
What a great night out!
Thanks Amy. It was really fun.
Such a wonderful way to begin fulfilling your plan for the new year!
I loved this post Ruth.
I always love meeting former students and seeing how well they are doing.
What a great new year’s resolution!
Ruth, such a blast we had!! Thanks for making this happen! Love ya!
The food was delicious and we had such a blast!! My belly is still full!! Thanks again for making this happen! Love ya
What a fun post. Food looks delish!!!!
Looks like Forrest has great taste! What an amazing spread! And so cool of you to run into a former student! Does that happen often?
Yes, I could definitely see myself telling the waiter, “Make that 3 ravioli, please.” They do sound wonderful, Ruth, and the photos of your antipasti are tantalizing. I’m hungry and I’ve just finished dinner a few minutes ago. Good to see that Greenfield School teaches its students to be kind and thoughtful, as well as the 3 R’s. 🙂
