Photography is all about the light as you know
Recently I photographed the discarded Christmas Tree along the sidewalk and the direction of light made a significant difference.
Found these two photos taken in NYC at my sisters apartment which illustrate the exact same concept. Moving around for the overall light is one result but the first one in the mottled light gives a dramatic shadow and a whole different feel.
Amazing how the light seems to make the second photo seem happier.
And amazing how the colours change.

It looks like one was taken in morning sun and one in afternoon sun.
The first photo seems more romantic, and the second one more bright and cheery!

I agree with the others, Ruth. The photos look like the subject of each is and entirely different bouquet.
Would have been good to show students. Oh well, happy to be retired.
