Classic winter lunch made and served by my daughter Laura. Hit the spot on a gray chilly day.
Cheddar and Monterey Jack on wheat was the grilled cheese. She used the stovetop cast iron grill I gave her for Christmas. (Which covers two burners)

Yummy- a great choice.
That looks super good!
Agreed, always better when someone else is making it for you 🙂
Thanks Amy.
That would do me nicely too!
We could share.
My stomach just growled.
mmmmm -classic and looks good
A grilled cheese sandwich with a bowl of tomato soup has always been one of my favorites!
Looks like a great lunch on a winter’s day, and I agree that eveything tastes better when someone else makes it!!
One of my favorites! And BTW I like the new format Ruth.
Reminds me of the time you made us grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch with an iron in the art room.
Food ALWAYS tastes better when someone else cooks it. A classic combo indeed.
Thanks Stef
You are so right! I can overlook a lot if all that’s required of me is to take my place at the table. Beyond that, this looks like “a mighty fine lunch”, Ruth. That was Dad’s favorite expression when Mom served him something especially tasty.
Warm memories, hearing your Dad’s expression as your Mom served him.
