Gedächtniskirche.
Berlin Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church built in 1895.
Peek at the results of war- WW2 bombing raid.
“The Gedächtniskirche or Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is the symbolic centre of West Berlin, an anti-war memorial to peace and reconciliation.“
And note the rapid weather change from the front of the church- sun and blue sky to sudden gray, rainy sky as we walked around to the back.
European architecture is so beautiful. The symbols of war remind us of the value of peace. Imagine living through the horrors of Blitzkriegs in England or Krisstallnacht in Germany. Enjoy each and every moment of your time with your family. Have lots and lots of fun with them.
Wow!
Thank you for pointing out the scars on the church and the weather changes. Cool and interesting picture.
