Hmmm, what can I find to shoot for the MarchSquare challenge? I was looking around my house. Ah. Spotted one of the little covered square butter dishes my friend Joanne sent me. With a bit of Irish butter in it. My grandmother’s butter knife.
If you want to check out more squares and squares within squares and circles in squares here’s Becky B’s “It’s Nearly Over” post with lots of links
Yes please, Ruth! Will go nicely with my Hot Cross buns. Happy Easter! 🙂 🙂
Happy Easter to you, Jo.
Fabulous squares, and reminds me I need to buy butter today to make some biscuits for the weekend!
Thanks for creating such a fun challenge, BeckyB.
oh I am so glad you are enjoying it 🙂
Well done Ruth E well done!
Thank you Sue.
Can’t go wrong with butter – no matter what shape the container!
You are so right Toni.
There’s nothing quite like Irish butter…I grew up (and a little chubby) on it!!

A terrific composition for square!
Question: What is the difference between Irish butter and regular butter? And, is regular butter British or American? 😉
This butter is imported from Ireland.
But, what makes it special? Do cows in Ireland get better feed than cows in the US? Or do they churn it a special way? Add more salt? etc.
It must be the cows’ diet. It definitely tastes better to me but I don’t know scientifically
