Wash Separately Even After Six Years

Wash separately even after six years. My six word Saturday post.

These are handknit socks I made at least six years ago and they still turn the water pink every time.

When I was a kid, my mother called a red flannel nightgown that bled in the wash “a sinner”.

Have you ever had a laundry disaster with a color item that ran onto light items?

  1. This is the reason I’ve been married for 25 years and have only done my husband’s laundry one time. Pink undershirts…..ah well, a happy mistake is what I call it. 🙂

  2. I have a red cottton dress that my daughter got in Mexico. I washed it in the washing machine and threw it in the dryer. It left the inside of the dryer pink! I’ve washed it a few more times (hand washed) and I don’t think it will ever release all the dye!

  3. Whoa – that is some serious yarn! Still bleeds after 6 years??!

In our first year of marriage I turned some of my husband’s shirts and underwear pink with 1 rogue red top. Oops.
