I do remember the flag is raised to the top of the flag pole and then lowered down to half way. At then end of the day it is to be raised to the top of the pole again and then lowered. For more information about when and how to fly the flag

This is touching. So sad.
Squirrel hill will heal, the Jewish community will heal but both are forever changed.
There must be more than flags and gestures to truly make this kind of tragedy a thing of the past. It is internal transformation must occur, that which we cannot see with our eyes. Generations of people have been taught and modeled these thoughts and ideas that become feelings and actions. Now is a time of self reflection and learning something new. I hope.
Our thought and prayers are with all the people who suffered through this atrocious act of violence.
