  2. Our house was built in 1930. We have been lived in it for 45 years. We have glass door knobs. Some are tricky. You must turn the knob completely before you try to open the door or the knob might come off in your hand. Ahhhh, the pleasures of an older home. Your articles are informative. I looked at new ones and it is true that they are nowhere near as good as the originals. I did not realize their value. It looks like a trip to a home salvage place like Construction Junction might be in order. I wondered how the door knobs in your photos might reflect the sunlight.
