New York City Rooftops- 2 views by day and by night
How does light affect an image?
Time of day. Time of year. Direction. Intensity. Source. Pollution. Weather conditions.
Thinking about the quality of light.
Taken from E’s mother’s apartment window 4/4/09 in New York City looking North.
Amazing contrast! Beautiful!
Thanks Toni
It is hard to believe the photos are of the same place.
I know. It’s something to see.
Perfect contrast. Look closely. Notice the picnic table and chairs on one roof top and what appears to be a green house type structure on another. Got to love NYC living day and night. Have not been back since Joe and his crew moved to Charlotte. I miss it.
Good eye Jack.
Wow, quite a dramatic contrast!
Thank you.
You’re welcome!
Nice. I was thinking of a similar idea as well.
Amazing. Same picture and yet the second appeals more to my eye.
Night photography does it for me, too.
I love both photos. Really dramatic contrast.
The evening is so much more inviting. 🙂 🙂
That’s a really neat idea Ruth! Thanks for the inspiration to try something similar!
Wonderful photos. I find myself drawn to the night photo.
Whoa, what a contrast! These would be terrific framed and hung (like so much of your work…).
Awww thanks Stef.
