Lasst week at the Children’s Museum Charlie was thinking about Mr. Rogers’ tennis shoes/sneakers.
He loves watching the old shows.
Mr. Rogers, our Pittsburgh icon. RIP

When my brother and sister visited, they worked hard in the garden, Really hard.
My friend J gave me perennials a couple of years ago.
With the thistles and weeds and volunteer trees eliminated, the plants are coming into their own.
Tonight I captured some of the blossoms.
if you want to see some gorgeous blooms, check out Cee’s blog
Funnel Cake
I try to keep the blog in real time but these images are from the archives.
My bowl of ice cream with the fresh peach and triple ginger cookies from yesterday got me thinking about how desserts satisfy.
I photographed these desserts in Ohio.
I didn’t eat it myself but the the satisfaction factor was there for the nice woman who bought it and ate it (after she let me shoot it!)
and here is another person’s funnel cake – unadorned – well, a dusting of powdered sugar
The Satisfaction of an impromptu summer dessert after the meal

Toddler in the mist.
Charlie (2) joins cousins Maura and Michael in the cloudy mist.
The first time it started and hissed and the air got foggy, he ran out, not knowing what to expect.
Wasn’t long before he joined them in the Cloud Arbor by Artist Ned Kahn.
When we finish our time at the Children’s Museum the kids always run to the tall metal pipes and eagerly wait for the start of the misty foggy cloud.
You should hear the happy squeals.
