At school I teach what a photo essay is- a series of photos that tells a story, with or without captions. I also got to practice my sports photography.
A double birthday party for two neighbor boys whose Mom rented out the entire Roller Rink for the evening. WOW!
The kids tried roller blades and four wheel skates for the first time and Mom Erika got out on the floor and gave a hand to help them stay upright.
The lighting in the place was a challenge, too.
Good thing for the GPS
Remember how I said I like to catch them unaware. ….Here is the result when I ask for a mug!

They turned down the lights- Maura has a blast!

You have a beautiful family. I enjoyed looking at your work, especially the one where you caught them unaware. The Allum Creak shot is wonderful.
Thanks you for your good words. Since it is summer break from school,
I am fortunate to spend time with the family.
Great photo essay! Looks like everyone had fun.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
You mean to say that the photographer didn’t put on skates. It looked like a good time!
This is a great place to go I go every Friday and Tuesday and sometimes Sunday and the best service and a cheap work out
What a great idea for a party and it looks like all 4 Grandkids made the most of it. How fortunate for them, in their later years, that you were there to capture it. You’re creating quite a photo album for them, Ruth.
No skate keys! What fun
Looks like F U N to me!
LOL on the silly faces. Those are ALWAYS my faves!
A good time was had by all, I see!!!!
My favorite pics are the ones at the skate rental counter. Though the pic of the kiddo hanging off the carpeted wall did bring back some memories for me. 🙂 Glad to see that kids are still enjoying roller rinks, all these decades later!
