Looks peaceful.
It was
And it’s only January🤨
Spring will come again. I promise
Looks like a beautiful quiet place to have a morning walk.
A little chilly to walk outside but yes it’s perfect
It looks serene.
It’s my neighboring park.
You can be sure Emmaline will never be walking this deserted path alone, or will she ever get the opportunity to do so?

Minutes later dispatch advised Detective Charlie that the State Police had spotted the black van and were in pursuit. Amazingly, just a few minutes later the Troopers had the van pulled over and the two suspects were on the pavement with hands cuffed behind their backs. Charlie and Vincie arrived on scene just as a Trooper was helping Emmaline out of the van. She was shaken but appeared to be unhurt. Emmaline was placed into the Troopers vehicle for just a few moments but quickly released to Detective Charlie. Emmaline looked up and was shocked to see her dear friend Vincie standing by the police cruiser holding a white paper bag. The two women embraced with Vincie appearing to absorb and dissolve all the fear and fright that Emmaline had endured during this event. When they let go of one another Vincie held out the white paper bag and said “These are for you.”
Epilogue: The two master criminals Steve and Andy confessed. Both were intoxicated and planned to rob the bank but changed their plan when they saw a pretty young woman walking alone in the bank parking lot. They thought they had a better chance of getting away with a kidnapping and ransom demand than robbing a bank. They had no clue what a bag tag was. At the time they were pulled over on the interstate they did not realize they had about another 100 yards before they would have run out of gas.
Emmaline’s blind date showed up at the bank but was 20 minutes late and was stunned by the chaos in the parking lot. He was quickly cleared of any involvement in the crime and was of course relieved when he was told Emmaline was rescued and unharmed. However, he knew it wasn’t over. He would still have some explaining to do. His chances of another date with Emmaline were probably shot and he wasn’t so sure he wouldn’t be if Vincie got the opportunity. dc
A satisfying end to the adventure. Thanks dc. You were inspired.
This is a beautiful photo! And, I really enjoyed the finale to the story. It was action-packed and had a happy ending. (My Aunt Yolanda, 90, follows the blog everyday, She loves the photos and the comments, and she has been enjoying dc’s story. I think she’ll be happy with the ending.)
It’s been a lot of fun with two!
Thank you Vincie and Yolanda. Vincie, you were the inspiration. dc
