iPhone camera when in a pinch! Seems I am using the iPhone camera more and more, cause it’s handy?

I;m writing an article for CBS Local Best of Pittsburgh entitled,” Upcoming Exhibits For Kids In Pittsburgh.” Where are your photos available for viewing other than the wb site? I must chose the best five artists in Pittsburgh and your work is amazing. Any information will be appreciated and the article is due on the 10th of June. Thanks in advance but I need more information so I scan tell Pittsburgh all about what you do.
Thanks for considering my photography to be included in your article. As you can see, I’ve blogged photographs ( many of Pittsburgh) everyday for the past six years. Although I have had a couple is shows of my work, the blog is the place to view my photographs. I am finishing up my 26th year of teaching in the Pittsburgh Public schools, the past three at Carrick High School teaching photography. By keeping a daily photographic practice, I was able to inspire my students.

Hi Ruth-I’m totally amaized at the Sion Abbey photo dated 11/10. I’m trying unsuccessfully to contact them to see if I can visit, either on my own or need a guided tour. I really like your cover photo. I visited Pittsburg in the late 1980s, unfortunately I am unaware of any photos from my visit. Beautiful and compelling image. I always enjoy seeing bridges and bodies of water.

Your photos are wonderful! What advice would you offer us budding photographers with no formal training? Btw, I grew up in Sharpsville/Hermitage area about an hour north of Pittsburgh…always nice to meet up with folks from your neck of the woods!
Get out there in different lights and shoot, shoot, shoot. What looks good? Makes you feel something or is the resulting photo a z-z-zzzzz?lesrn as much as you can about light. There is lots free on the internet about different aspects of photography. You don’t need fancy equipment. A book by Nick Kelsh how to photograph your life is used online.

I stumbled on your blog while searching for photos of Med Flight helicopter landing at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH, to incorporate into an upcoming motivational speaking engagement. I never expected to find the exact photos I was seeking, but I did – on your blog. Your photos from July 1, 2015 post are beautiful and are exactly what I was seeking. I’d like to request permission to use the two photos in an upcoming presentation. The point I will be making in that moment is understanding the purpose of your work. These photos are personal to me – I used to work in the IT group at that hospital, and the helicopter landing pad was right outside my window. It served as a constant reminder of WHY I was doing what I was doing. BTW, it was a thrill to see your blog cover photo since I used to live in Pittsburgh – and still do in my heart. Please let me know if you would be open to allowing me to use these two photos and how you would like to be acknowledged and/or compensated. Thanks!
