The 2015 Annual Report on the Blog came from WordPress .
Four out of five most viewed blogposts this year were NOT published in 2015.
Just one of the most viewed was posted this year.
Not sure what to think about the most popular posts viewed in 2015 date back to 2010. Huh?
- 1 Guess How Many Jelly Beans in a Glass Quart Jar March 2013
- 2 Jarrod and Lauren’s Wedding Day September 2015
- 3 The Extraordinary Art of Bodhi Wind 2013
- 4 My Bookshelf May 2010
- 5 Waiting for Barges on the Allegheny River Late in the Day 2013
- and tied for fifth most viewed is I’ve Been Making Jamie Oliver’s Baked Orecchiette for 4 years Now
Ha, that speaks volumes about the enduring value of your posts Ruth! 😀 Happy New Year!
Thank you for your lovely comment Madhu. Putting it in that context seems so positive and encouraging. Wishing you all good things in 2016!
I don’t know why your most popular posts viewed in 2015 date back to 2010. Go figure. But my favorite photo of yours was the one called “Woman Waiting for the Man and Dog Behind- But Read the Green and White Sign” Here’s the link: http://rutheh.com/tag/cherry-blossoms/. What I particularly like about that photo is the contrast of the blossoms with the brick wall in the background, and with the dried cement having oozed out from between the bricks. In fact, I enlarged and printed out that section of the photo, and I had it posted on the bulletin board in my office for more than a year. The word “year” reminds me: Happy New Year! Keep up the good work!
What a thoughtful and encouraging comment, Ken. I’d forgotten about your favorite photo but enjoy your remembering and am glad to return and remember, too. Lots is contrasts, you’re right! Happy New Year greetings from Pittsburgh and I’ll keep working and hopefully coming up with more memorable new posts!
Greetings of Happy New Year 2016 to you and your family from Penang, Malaysia.
Thank you for the new year greetings from Malaysia. I appreciate your views and likes and comments. All the best yo you from Pittsburgh PA!
Well – I visit all of your blog posts – I’m just sayin’
AND you are the top commenter! Thanks, Sue. Happy New Year!
Curious! Whatever the year, I always enjoy the blog. I especially enjoy seeing your family! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Toni. Thanks for all your good comments, too.
I think having non – 2015 posts being hit on (giggle) is a good thing. It means your posts are timeless and folks are searching for them outside of WP, something I strive for.
I wish you the best in 2016! Happy new year!
Thanks for your positive comment! The “counting jelly beans in a glass jar” being most popular just surprised me. Happy New Year to you, too.
Your THEN posts have staying power NOW!
Maybe your NOW posts will be enjoyed THEN . . .
Happy New Year!
I like your thinking! Thank you for the encouragement
I look forward to and view your posts everyday. Happy New Year to you and the whole family!😘
Thank you Kristin. Loved the xmas card.
It seems blogs take on a life of their own. Apparently we have no control! Happy photographing 2016!
Just like life. I hadn’t thought of it that way. Thanks for your good words.
It means you write quality posts and take amazing images that last the test of time. 🙂
Awww Stef what a perfectly lovely and thoughtful comment. And to think I was concerned about it… I like your perspective.
So many of your posts are classics, Ruth. We don’t look at the pyramids and ask what the Egyptians have done lately, do we?
I appreciate your words, John.
