Their whole neighborhood is planning to come out and watch this entire house be moved to the waiting lot up the street. The foundation will be dug AFTER the House is moved. My plan is to go document the actual moving of the house on Tuesday morning.
I’m amazed this can be done. When Mark was little in 1978 we watched a house be moved down the street in Philadelphia.
ready to roll
Just worry its structure become tilted.
Definitely a worry
Yes, but the experts seem to work very well.
I like information like that!
Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it.
This is an amazing undertaking. Every detail and action must be perfect. I wonder what prompted the move.
Lol, there’s an early 15th century house that moved in my town!
This house is an infant then.
I am sure, there are great reasons to move this house and wish for a safe transition!
Wow!
We see this often at the shore in south Jersey!
Thanks Daria
Wow. I have seen in TV this kind of removals, but not in blogs! Thank You showing Your stunning photos.
Someone must really love that house! I saw a dance studio be moved down Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis several years ago – the feat took several days. It was incredible to witness.
They got the house free cause the owners were going to demolish it to have an open lot. He paid $100,000 to move it so got a deal.
That is a lot to move a house, but a good deal if the house is free.
They’ve never dropped a house yet.
