Thinking a vent of some sort. Looks like it could be a paper plate but why on the ceiling.? A real puzzle. Good one. Sure beats us. Let us know if and/or when you know. We are curious now.

I love how you noticed this. I once noticed a cross shadowing across my living room carpet. You can bet I photographed that.

Ahhhh…reflection makes sense….still curious as to of what though…
It’s the reflection of a mirror that had a coffee spill ring on it, angled in the window sill. And a window screen affecting the filtered sunlight.
