
This recipe is loosely based on all the ones all over the Internet but I made it the morning of, not the night before.
This is about ten slices of bread ripped into cube sized pieces and put in a well buttered oven proof dish. Mix 2 C milk with 8 eggs beaten in. Colby Jack cheese in little pieces (a bag of grated cheddar would have been perfect) Salt and pepper. Pour over all the ripped bread. Let it soak in a bit. Bake 45 minutes at 325 til test knife comes clean in the middle. It puffs up. Cut in squares.
