That is a treasure!
Thanks Sue
I have the one on the left of your picture and several other books of Anne with an E on my shelf. I also gave the books to my grand daughters .I also, love the WQED version.
I have not read it but having the one you have is a treasure. What is the book about? dc
An older farmer Matthew and his sister Rachel go to adopt a young boy to help on the farm- unexpectedly, they get a girl instead! That’s just the start. Her adventures are lively.
This is such a lovely book to hold, to have, to remember your mother by. I’m sure you cherish it.
Unfortunately the paper is not withstanding the passage of time
What a wonderful family treasure from your mom.
Yes thanks Debbie.
Lovely memento. We have a story book that was my father-in-law’s (he was born in 1898) which we treasure. Interesting that you picture those Anne of Green Gables books. We traveled to Prince Edward Island in June and visited the Anne of Green Gables Museum there.
Oh I’d love to go to the museum. Thank you. How wonderful you have a special memento from your FIL, too.
I’m going to highlight it in a post in the near future.
Wow what a treat!
