When I was a teenager in the 1960s, I rode on one of those, although it didn’t tilt. The floor dropped away beneath us, and centrifugal force kept us against the outer wall.

There was one of these at an amusement park near us when I was a teen. I can’t remember what it was called, but it was one of my favorites and I rode it every time.
