Just a few. Here are some bridges that cross the Allegheny River. Since I showed the one closed yesterday, it seemed to make sense to post a shot of more bridges.

Taken from Mount Washington, Duquesne Incline observation deck just last week.
And the Tenth Street Bridge in the Tom Cruise movie (Jack Reacher) isn’t in this shot but here

Wow!!!
I love cities with rivers running through them.
Looks cold. Brr!. Would be interesting to see what it looks like in the summer.
Ah, yes – the city of bridges.
What a great spot to take a picture of a few of Pittsburgh’s bridges! They do signify a great deal of traffic moving across the river.
A great shot of our wonderful bridges!
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
I am thankful for our bridge of friendship
Ruthie, Do you know about Knit the Bridge? This is a community outreach event for knitters and crocheters to make panels to cover one of the yellow sister bridges connecting Downtown Pittsburgh to the North Shore. We are waiting for a date for hanging (hopefully late spring or summer) and which bridge before this is official. In the meantime people are making panels. My gallery (3G Gallery) is a meeting place for those making a panel to knit and crochet on Wednesdays from 10am-1pm. Also a drop off for materials and finished panels. Tomorrow is the next meet up. Thanks for this Ruth. You always remind me of what I love about this city : )
I agree with Cj above. You bring out the best of my favorite city! Enjoyed info on knitting panels for the bridges also.
Love the snowy pic- almost looks like you were in a plane!
I love that there are multiple alternatives to get you where you need to go. A true statement of life as a whole.
Imagine what life is like for those who fear bridges.
They should probably pick a different state in which to live.
Yes. Easier than changing a state of mind.
So makes me think of my parent’s few years there! I only visited them twice and never for too long, but I enjoyed it!
