My friend V wondered if I was able to photograph the Taco wearing runner from 2016 in this year’s Marathon.
He didn’t run in Pittsburgh this year.
I heard back from him –
Kirk Millikan responded to my message, granting permission to post his pic. (Of course I didn’t get the message til after the post went up) , phew!
Here’s what he said in his reply-
“Thanks for the support! I still have that taco costume and actually wore it yesterday, across the country at the OC Marathon in Costa Mesa, California.”

I’ve got to give the runners credit! That is an amazing feat.
No way I could do it. I get winded walking out to the mailbox. I have to read my mail at the box so I have time to catch my breath. dc

It’s interesting to see the expressions on the runners’ faces. I give them credit for something I could never do, not even when younger. It takes grit and a focused mindset. Plus a lot of training.

I admire their tenacity in running. Years ago, my son ran the Pittsburgh half-marathon and this past weekend, one of my sons-in-law ran it.
