St. Martin’s Day

at 5:00 PM -St. Matthias Church in Schoenberg neighborhood, Berlin. ( Sunset was at 4:20)

I saw the announcement on Sunday

The church bells rang out for more than 5 minutes.

First there was a little play telling the story of St. Martin and singing hymns about St. Martin.

  1. Ceromonial peace and beauty. Must be a an age old religious tradition. Obviously St. Martin is significant. I do not know of him. I need to read more. Learning as I go due to your photos. Thanks Ruth.
