Manufactured since 1894 the label proclaims. . Fels-Naptha Soap.
The ingredients that can cause cancer have been removed. Good to know
When I saw this Fels-Naptha in the store the other day, my mother came to mind. She’d run a wet bar on soiled shirt collars and cuffs, on hard to remove stains from laundry. Scrub the spot then put in the washer
It works to remove poison ivy oil, too.
Who buys it still? And uses it?
Feels-Naptha soap. Yes or No?

I have never used it. Does it work?
Absolutely!
It can be finely grated and then used in the washing machine. The advantage to this is that you have no plastic container to dispose/recycle.
Good to know. Thanks Pam
I remember hearing the name, I never used it.
I have heard of it, seen it in stores, never used it.
I’ll put on my shopping list this week.
I am putting it on this weeks shopping list.
I can see how the wrapping would bring back memories. When I was a child everybody used it. We still do. I have afresh bar in the basement just waiting to be opened. I use it to clean grease from my hands after working on my cars and motorcycles. It is good for cleaning paint from my hands. I also soak my brushes in a solution of it. There is are many more uses.
I have a bar ready for use at all times, works very well on stains.

My moether washed me in it when I fell into the poison ivy. I used it on collars and cuffs when I was still turning them to extend the life of a shirt. Ah, the good ole’ days.
Yes, I use it to make my homemade laundry soap. I always make a 5 gallon container and it works like a charm. Great to use the bar directly on stubborn stains also. Even have my family making it now, cost is pennies to make and it’s excellent.
I use it for grass stains on white bear all pants! Mrs great!
Why all those typos? Haha, white baseball pants, works great!!
Looks like Purex owns this brand and I wonder how much they changed? Never even heard of this soap
Yvette, I bet you see it on your grocery shelves now. In the detergent section or the soap section I wonder?
perhaps so – I will look for it – and for some reason, now I am thinking I have seen someone else post about it before (have a vague memory of telling someone I will try it and the cancer part comes to mind)) – keep you posted
I’m staying tuned
😊
