Meet Andrea Panzica, owner of 614 Knit Studio in Clintonville, Columbus, Ohio. Here she helps me show off my finished object. She had helped me choose yarns for the Westknits Mystery Knit Along when I was visiting the family in October 2022. The yarn is Ansel fingering weight Jill Draper Makes Stuff yarn. I wanted to show Andrea the yarn knit up into the shawl from the yarn she’d helped me select. You might remember Andrea from the Great Lakes Fiber Festival post.
I frogged the start of Twists and Turns and knit Stephen West’s design Vertices Unite instead.

Here Andrea sporting her Stephen West Shawl MKAL from 2020 Slipstravaganza when I was choosing yarn last fall.

Great shawl! Won’t be long before the cooler weather arrives and you’ll be able to wear it.
It’s a great pattern and I love the yarn. Thanks Pam.
Absolutely beautiful!
That will definitely keep you warm!
Did you sew each piece together or how did you make this design?
No you pick up stitches as you go. All connected. No sewing later.
Beautiful !
Straight needles or round? How many stiches? How long did it take you to make? Beautiful!
I used circular I don’t know how many stitches. A lot! I started in February but knit a lot of other things during this time.
How many skeins did that shawl require?
It was five skeins of fingering yarn. It’s big.
