Not close enough, though. Could have been worse. Definitely a mess to clean up. Haven’t burned a candle in a long time.don’t think I’ll be lighting another, anytime soon. It was a gray, chilly, rainy day. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

We once had candles burn holes in a huge hand embroidered tablecloth ( last thing my mother in law made) by walking guests to the door to say good night! Good idea to keep candles in glass or in sight!

I never walk away from a lit candle or a stove turned on even if you are young. I don’t use candles.

Definitely could have been worse. Doesn’t look like it was too difficult to clean? Whenever I light a candle (which is infrequently), I set an alarm on my phone to blow it out. Otherwise I would be doing the exact same thing!
