After nine hours sitting on the train from Pittsburgh and a delicious dinner, my sister and I walked five miles along the Hudson River. The northern lights were supposed to be happening between ten and two am but weren’t visible. We did see the Worm Moon (the worms are wiggling around in the warmed earth now) and the twinkling lights in the night.

Great place for a break Ruth.
Thanks Leanne. You are so right.
Have fun!
I love New York! Have a wonderful time!
Thank you dear friend.
Those are beautiful pictures!
Thank you Sue
Great photos
Beautiful pictures! What I’d give to try one of those hot cross buns! 9 hours on the train?! How was that? I always wanted to take the train to NYC. Last time I went I took the mega bus. Not really a fun experience lol.
Wonderful assortment of photos. Worm Moon- who knew ?
Thanks for taking us along with your great photos. Enjoy those buns!
Pretty sure I would not have made it through to the 5 mile walk. I’m impressed 👍
Enjoy your time in NYC with your dear sister. The photos are lovely in every way. I’m seeing a different side of the city that almost makes me want to visit. The key word here is ALMOST since I am not at all a big city girl.
Thank you Audrey
nice post, thanks for sharing

Nine hours on a train – did you get a meal during the ride? I have never heard of a “worm moon” before; I’ll have to look that up.
