On January 24, 2020 Laura and Charlie and I went to the Ohio History Center
There was an exhibit about the year 1950. Building the American Dream.
I don’t believe I posted these photos cause several of them were upside down. I righted them and am sharing today.

Wow! The year after I was born. Glad Mom didn’t go with the popular names.
I like Darlene, too. ❤️
Also the year I was born. I agree on being happy not to have a popular name.
Almost your birthday!
I had a 1957 convertible Chev. that I drove to Pittsburgh in the early 1960’s . It was my brothers and he gave it to me. White and red and black top. The car you show is a 1957 Chev. I should not have sold it because they are worth a lot money today . Yes, I’m old.
A great memory!
Thanks for sharing these memories, so much fun looking back, remembering how life was.
We remember the good parts
I was born in 1950, still have all my major body parts. I’m very glad my mother chose one of the popular names (David). When I was a little older I begged her to change it to Zorro, then later on I wanted Elvis. Mother knows best. dc
There are probably kids out there with those monikers. I like your name too.
Excellent pictures – I loved reminiscing! And it was good to see that my name was a top name in 1950. My parents must have been forward thinking because they named me Susan in 1949!
A good name for a good person
The year my dad was born. Seems like a long time ago, but also not that far into the past….
