got it (about the digital) but 2013 had more writing for students than now – that was what I meant – at least I think so
and I have heard about the cursive and time for paper journals too – hmmmm
hope you have a great weekend

Many students today can’t even read cursive writing, let alone write in cursive. I was thinking digital cameras 😂 thanks Yvette. I think it’s good I’m retired from teaching.

Hi – my niece went to a preschool that used a curriculum called Abeka curriculum – and she only learned cursive (at a young four) and then struggled later to print and had to do remedial work on that – yet she was reading at a middle school level – anyhow, have since seen some news stories about Abeka (and just the content of their history lessons) but from what I could see over the years – the schools that used it had some folks with the best handwriting we have ever scene. One more example, during middle scholol years – our neighbor’s son sent us a thank you card and his cursive was so artsy and we were all wowed. He went to a school that taught with Abeka K-6 (and we did not like the religiosity and authoritative nature at that school) – sigh a bit of rambling on this casual sunday in June
hope you are having a nice month :0)

That is so interesting. I’m
Not familiar with that curriculum but the handwriting sounds like something to see.
Great explanation on lighting for all of us. I’ll think twice the next time I take a photo. Thanks for sharing Ruth.
Thanks for your visit Carrie.
So, so true
Yes. You’re right.
It was nice to see the handwriting from 2013 – would that all be digital in 2025 or do they still have some sheets?
I hear some schools are teaching cursive again. It was digital then, not darkroom.
