Three Types of Lilies

My garden in Pittsburgh -Perhaps the perennial Pale Pink is a Stargazer but I know the yellow ones are Stella d’Oro Daylily

and the Orange Daylily in Columbus Ohio.

Stella d’Oro
Tiger Day Lily

Not everyone likes the fragrance of a lily I read.

  1. Hi – nice lilies – your harden is a blooming!
and we were just at a botanical garden park and saw Pale Pinks bigger than the hand – they werehuge (if Post some pics I will let you know) but I do not know the names. oh and I have a lot of tiget day lilies – the former homeowner loved them

    • Those day lilies return faithfully every year, don’t they? I’d love to see the giant ones. The deer eat the hosta leaves but leave the lilies alone.

      • The deer only eat the tiger lilies in our area when they are starved – so for most of the summer they are there adding their color.
and we do have hosta left here too – and Ruth – I just walked by one that bloomed – and wow – the first bloom of the season for those so it was a spike of joy –
anyhow, hope you have a great day

      • Ahh the first bloom. That’s lovely. Thanks for your visit and likes and nice comments, Yvette. Looking for joy, no matter how small or fleeting. We need it.

    • It seems the flowers know just what to do with very little assistance. We’ve had so much rain everything growing with vigor.
