When is the last time you used a paperweight?
Paperweights in a digital age.
I opened my China cabinet and saw three. The glass one in front seemed to almost glow. My sister gave Matthew the Dandelion suspended in clear resin and the glass orb with the bubbles was from my maternal. grandmother.

Then I remembered I had a book about paperweights in my living room.

The plates in the book are colorful and informative

Great selection of beautiful paperweights. I haven’t used one in years, they were certainly popular.
I don’t know anyone with a collection.
We must have about 6 or 7 dotted about the place, many being used for their original purpose.
Thanks for your visit and sharing.

Paperweights are art .
I agree
Beautiful! Very informative post. I had one once, not a clue where it is now.
Thanks for looking
Here on the Oregon coast glass balls are big, when I was a child we collected them in storms, they were used as floats for nets, now artisans make beautiful colored balls, your photos reminded me of them.
That’s cool you could find them there.
