These Were Big in the 19th Century

When is the last time you used a paperweight?

Paperweights in a digital age.

I opened my China cabinet and saw three. The glass one in front seemed to almost glow. My sister gave Matthew the Dandelion suspended in clear resin and the glass orb with the bubbles was from my maternal. grandmother.

Then I remembered I had a book about paperweights in my living room.

  1. Great selection of beautiful paperweights. I haven’t used one in years, they were certainly popular.

  2. Here on the Oregon coast glass balls are big, when I was a child we collected them in storms, they were used as floats for nets, now artisans make beautiful colored balls, your photos reminded me of them.
