Friends Debbie and Sy invited us to come see the giant steam locomotive with their visiting family and then see fireworks later in the evening. We had a great time. We were at a fenced in playground so the kids were safe. And they brought chairs! Nice planning. We went across the Ohio River to their house for dinner and then headed to Avalon for fireworks! What a day.

Deb and Sy went to Euclid Ohio June 8th last week and saw the giant Big Boy engine stopped, with a crowd and here are a few of the pics they sent me

My son got to see Big Boy but he had to drive to Derry. He waited two and a half hours to see it go by. It did not stop. Derry was packed with people. He did get to tape it.
Yes it goes by fast. I loved seeing it. Nice he taped it to watch again. Worth the wait.
That is a very cool train. And night or day, no couch is left alone to despair with you on guard. dc
