A former colleague, Ellen R, came for lunch on my front porch a couple of weeks ago. No shortage of topics to talk about and catch up with our family updates. I was reminded of her wonderful refrigerator contents in 2010.
For our porch lunch she brought a lovely lemon cake with raspberries and a lemon glaze.
Here is the post from July 2010
What’s in Your Fridge?
What’s in your fridge? This is Ellen R.’s fridge. She bakes delicious cheesecakes. When the cream cheese goes on sale, she stocks up. Her husband was preparing for guests to watch a big game if I remember it right. I thought I would photograph fridge interiors and exteriors, a kind of portrait. It was a short term project. I photographed my own fridge inside and out and decided it wasn’t too interesting to look at like Ellen’s. ( This is her secondary fridge, not the main one in the kitchen! ) I thought the contents an interesting mix.

There used to be a column in a magazine, what three things can you always find in your refrigerator? My answer would be butter, cheese, jam
My fridge looks very different, I have fresh produce, a pot of soup and meat / fish in the freezer. I do have some eggs and butter, kimchi and sour kraut. Do you?
Everything except the kimchi. Thanks for sharing your healthy and delicious contents
My pleasure
Very organised
Yes but a bit limiting😂
Three things I always have in my refrigerator are eggs, butter and cheese.
Sounds good.
Three things I always have in my fridge are milk, butter, eggs.
Me too.
That’s how my refrigerator used to look minus the cream cheese and Coke. Since I quit drinking the only things in there are cold air and something that looks like a Chia pet! Dc
You are funny
Always full of fresh fruits and vegetables, baking supplies and sometimes a bottle of wine.
Sounds good to me.
Most of the time my fridge is practically empty. 😂
Oh dear.
Eggs, cheese and a bottles of this and that on the door.
Oh yes the bottles of capers and pickles.
Always in my fridge: cheese, milk, butter, eggs, fruit, mayo…
Sounds perfect
